Special Meeting of the Members

Posted by STSLL at Dec 12, 2017 6:57PM PST

We are reaching out to everyone as the Board of Directors is calling a special meeting of the members of Saginaw Township South Little League. The purpose of this meeting is to review and approve the 2018 membership list and review and vote on a new constitution.

Per the constitution and Little League policy, the members of the league must approve a membership list each year. Unfortunately, that was not completed during our September meeting, as a result, we need to complete that in advance of the season.

We are also attaching a draft of the new constitution. STSLL is in need of an updated constitution as Little League recommends that it be updated at a minimum of every 5 years, our constitution was last updated in 2001. Additionally, the constitution no longer meets all the minimum requirements of Little League. Finally, there are some minor changes that will make the league run more smoothly (annual audits of the finances, clearly defined membership requirements and more).

The special meeting of the members will be on January 8th, 2018 at Saginaw Township Fire Station #3, 155 N Center Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638 at 6:00 PM EST. The STFD is asking that we ensure that no driveways are blocked to allow for the engines to have access in and out of the station. The regular board meeting will follow the special meeting of the members.

We also want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that we still have a few openings left for 4-7 year-old players in the Winter Clinic being held this Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Saginaw Athletic Club. If you are interested in registering or for more information, please see our website,

Thank you,
2018 Saginaw Township South Little League Board of Directors
